The word “gospel” means “good news.” Despite the bad news we often see, the Bible has long recorded human suffering and cries to God. Yet, through personal stories of faith amid hardship, like Paul’s suffering and endurance, and the transformative power of God, we find hope. Suffering can become “holy ground,” where God meets us, bringing comfort and strength.
